There will always be a cinematic influence to my work. I'm drawn to interesting light, strong compositions, atmosphere and photographs that could almost be stills pulled from a film. But I'll never sacrifice a genuine moment chasing the perfect frame. Emotion always comes first.

This way of working is perfect for couples who don't want a fuss. Couples who don't particularly enjoy posing, don't want their wedding turned into an all-day photoshoot and don't believe things need to be overcomplicated.

Your wedding day is your wedding day.

You'll see the people who were there. The way they looked. The way they laughed. The people still sitting beside you and, inevitably, some who are no longer here.

That's when photographs become more than photographs.

So give me your wedding exactly as it is. The personalities, the emotion, the imperfections, the ridiculous moments and the beautiful ones.

The Style

As a candid, Essex-based photojournalistic wedding photographer, I specialise in documenting weddings so that each photo captured, tells a story. I look for the fun, unexpected and intimate moments during weddings which often go unnoticed.

I seek out the authentic moments. No posing, unscripted; just the raw emotion and precious memories that weddings bring. I approach every event in a non-intrusive manor, allowing you and your guests to interact as naturally as possible. I am your guest and a friend before, during and after your big day. My ethos is to enable your guests to feel relaxed with having their photo taken. This allows me to photograph a wedding complete with natural photos and smiles, all round.

The Story, As It Happened.

Your time should be spent slowing down, enjoying it and actually taking in the people around you — not disappearing for hours to manufacture photographs.

I want to create images that stand the test of time. Not photographs built around whatever happens to be fashionable right now, but photographs that still mean something in ten, twenty or fifty years.

Because one day you'll look back through them and see more than your wedding.
